Sean T Wright Completes 50 albums in 50 months!
Posted by seanwright2008 | Filed under Uncategorized
Yeah! I made it! 50!
This last month has kept me busy writing and recording 12 new songs. The new album is called “50:50″. What else could my 50th album release in 50 months be called? I’ve returned to an acoustic feel, using all manner of percussion that includes wood blocks, tables, and chairs – as well as more traditional acoustic guitars. I’m really elated with the way it turned out.
You can download the album free, just follow the link. Thanks for supporting my music by listening, downloading, and sharing.
Take care now, and very best wishes
Sean T Wright

THE CALLING – SEAN WRIGHT’S 26th ALBUM in 26 MONTHS
Posted by seanwright2008 | Filed under creative commons, free downloads, new music, sean wright
Musically, the album finds Wright once again mining the regally traditionalist sound first heard on ACOUSTIC ARCADE. Hazy bluegrass numbers, acoustic-based songbook pop, and jumpin’ country swing provide the backdrop for Wright’s continuing study of the vicissitudes of life, love, and death. Although he is certainly world-weary and wise, a lot of life is lived in the verses of these songs and there is a sublime spirituality that provides, if not hope (a rather prosaic notion for Wright by this point, to be sure), at least a means to finding contentment. Finally, a word about Wright’s voice here: while his singing has always been unconventional and inveriably melodic in any traditional sense, in its whispered magnificence it is simply perfect for this timeless music.
Sean Wright’s 26th new album in 26 months! His 32nd album features 12 new songs and is the third solely acoustic release in an outstanding trilogy along with DYLAN’S DEAD? and ACOUSTIC ARCADE.
Wright’s epic songwriting (26 original albums in 26 months) out-shines his greater accomplishment: being active since 1974 as an indie songwriter. Sean Wright’s vast catalogue now stands him alongside legends such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Bruce Springsteen!
On THE CALLING, he teams up with New York poet, Reine Amodeo, on the song “Trust.” All the other songs are written by Wright.
